Dr. Brad Beauvais is an educator and consultant in the field of business and health care management with a primary focus on quality improvement via innovative financing strategies and executive leadership development. He holds degrees from Colorado State (BS, MBA), the University of Oklahoma (MA in Economics), and Penn State University (PhD in Health Policy and Administration). He has also served as a Fellow for the Commission on Accreditation Healthcare Management Education (CAHME), was awarded a Joseph M. Juran Fellowship in Quality Leadership, and has earned his Lifetime Fellowship in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Dr. Beauvais retired from the United States Army at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 2015, culminating a 20 year military career as the Associate Dean at the Army Medical Department Center & School Graduate School with concurrent appointment as an Associate Professor with the Army Baylor Masters of Healthcare and Business Administration Program. He currently serves as an Associate Professor at Texas State University and provides consultant and adjunct faculty support where requested across the country .

Dr Beauvais resides in New Braunfels, TX with his beautiful wife, Nancy. They've been marred for 25 years and have three grown daughters.

 

Teaching Interests: Finance, business development, healthcare finance, health care economics, health care quality...and passing along some personal finance tips as well.

 

Research Focus Areas: Dr Beauvais is interested in research in the areas of health care organization quality, patient safety, and financial performance. He has over 30 articles in peer reviewed publications, including Health Services Research,  Journal of Medical Internet Research, Healthcare, the Journal of Health Care Finance, Health Care Management Review, Hospital Topics, the Journal of Healthcare Management and the Journal of Health Administration Education.
